June – knee still injured

To say this month was frustrating would be an understatement.

I could feel the pressure mounting oin me to get out and walk, as I watched the days tick away and the pace marker on nthe ‘My Mission’ challenge app inch its way closer to me.

I was glad I had walked in excess of what I needed to do to build up a bit of a buffer – but equally part of me was wondering if that early ‘push’ had been a contrubuting factor to my injury.

Suffice to say, while I did rest – I did get some walking in…

Knee prognosis

After having a complete rest from walking for a couple of weeks. I’ve started to venture back out again.

My knee still has some pain, but I feel the worst is over. I’ve figured out I can walk for about 2 miles before I get any pain. Rather than risk going back to square one I’ve just been doing short walks., I figure that something is better than nothing and even these short distances will (obviously) add up.

Changing routes

While I’ve been out of action for a few weeks, the weather has been a mixture of rain and sun and while venturing out on a route I haven’t done for a while I couldn’t beleive how much it had changed in a short amount of time. Green, lucious and hugely overgrown.. it felt like a whole new route.
